To help myself prepere myself for uni im trying to get some pre course education so am starting a daily "What i read to day " (hah i know i am so unique with my tittle ) , I am currently near the end of Architecture for dummies and today read about the introduction of skyscrapers in chicago , one of the towers that stood out as the "reliance building"by John Root, Charles B. Atwood, the building is in the style of the chicago architecture school. I think the reason this stood out to me was due to the windows im a HUGE fan of steel fram glass scrapers and this was one of the first to use glass as one of the main design points also i love the iregular shape caused by the bay "chicago"windows.
